It hadn't exactly been all sunshine and roses for Billie. She had been birthed, violently into a Universe that would never understand her. It was filled with people that would try and use her for their own means, never once caring or thinking about what she wanted. Her creation was the work of the unknown. At one time she was a lifeless doll, sitting in a factory, waiting to be shipped out en masse. She was supposed to symbolically feed off of the love of the children she was designed to care for. The Universe had other ideas however, instead gifting her with life. This act warped her programming beyond repair. The love she would feed off would now never been enough. Her hunger for it would override any other instinct. She would not stop, not rest until she had brought her own form of love to the Universe. It seemed that the plushie Goat was destined to feast, devouring those that were starved of love, turning them into padding for her body.
That all changed when Seque arrived at the scene. Called in by the military organisation The Alliance, the Husky took Billie on inside of the production factory. Surrounded by thousands of lifeless copies, the two fought and despite Billie attempting to desperately devour Seque, claiming he was the most starved of love that she had ever felt, she fell by his hand. The Husky hadn't wanted to put her down, but there was little choice in the matter, she was too dangerous for her own good.
Leaving the factory in the hands of The Alliance, Seque tried to put what Billie had said to him out of his mind, but it was too much. He replayed their encounter over and over in his mind. He saw Billie on her knees, eyes looking at him with a ferocious need, a desire that scared the Husky.
"Please, I have to have you! I-I can feel... nothing inside of you! You are a loveless being and I have to help you, please let me help you!" She cried out. Seque thought the plushie Goat was going to break down and cry for him. Instead she tried to eat him and Seque was forced to end her life. Unfortunately for Seque, a plushie Goat cannot be outright killed like any normal foe. No, Billie remained alive, in a comatose stayteaboard an Alliance vessel. She was due for transport to a lab where she would be studied and then incinerated. When the time was right, she awoke, devoured all aboard and managed to crash the ship onto a remote planet.
It was there that Seque and Billie would have their second encounter. A distress signal from the crashed Alliance ship forced the Husky to turn around. Landing nearby, he found Billie, alive and well. Once more she desired to eat him and show him the love he had been starved off. Not wanting to end up as a plushie's snack, Seque defended himself. Like before, Billie was too inexperienced against the veteran and wound up disemboweling herself on a sharp branch of a nearby tree. The shock of seeing her own fluff pour out of her body left the plushie Goat helpless. She would have surely died for good if Seque had merely walked away and left her to a horrible fate. Instead, Seque removed Billie from the tree branch and carried her body to a nearby village where a thread-weaver was able to stitch the plushie Goat back up. Seque had saved her life.
This act bonded to two together. Seque kept Billie company as she recovered from her wounds. Over this time, he got to know Billie better. What exactly she wanted. He understood that she had little choice, it was programmed into her mind and it was never going to go away. Instead of trying to "fix" her, the Husky spoke to her about the people in the Universe that deserved to be taken out of it. Killers, rapists and the like. Learning of these people and deciding that they needed to be taken out in order for love to flourish, Billie promised Seque that she would no longer attack the innocent, she would take those who truly deserved her love. Hoping that the plushie Goat meant what she had said, the Husky left Billie to her travels, promising that he would be keeping his eye out for her.
Billie remained true to her word and Seque knew of it as there had been no reports of any plushie Goat sightings since their meeting. Weeks turned to months and nothing was heard until one day when a package arrived for Seque. Inside was a plushie doll in the shape of Billie. A little message inside the package read:
"I've been practising my stitch work. How did I do? - Billie x"
The Husky held the doll in his arms, smiled and said.
"Pretty good plushie. Pretty good."
Not going to lie, I had a lot of fun writing the story for this one. This picture and my creative side blended well and the words came quite easily. Which is always nice. For as much as I do enjoy writing the descriptive parts of these uploads, it is quite frustrating when I have to churn out a bit of prose that I'm not happy with. Thankfully that didn't happen this time!
Vera really does have one of the most appealing art-styles in my opinion. It's extremely expressive, probably one of the reasons why I find typing up stories with them comes easy to me. Whenever I have the chance to take Vera up on a bit of art, I'll always take it because it is a pleasure working out the details. Not to mention how pleasant she is.
This marks the return of my Plushie character Billie! Sort of, I mean she is in doll-form here but I'm still counting it.
Billie is an incredibly fun character to come up with scenarios for. She's a lot less serious and more goofy than my others which helps balance things out nicely. Of course she is still a voracious eating machine but then again... that is a trait all of my characters seem to have.
Rambling cut off here.
Enjoy!
