Hey, saw your suit at FC this year. I have what might be a cool idea for you...
If you have a cellphone that you can download apps to, look for "RadioReference." It is a web service that streams live police scanners. All you have to do is pick a state and then city you want to listen to. I'd turn the volume down and then just have the cellphone in the top left pocket, to make seem like you're actually in contact with emergency dispatch. It'll really add to the authenticity of the suit. Just watch how long you do this. Streaming the audio for a long time could kill your cellphone's battery fast.
Otherwise, yeah, RadioReference.com if you want to listen at home.
I work in security and use this at work sometimes. I also wear a uniform. Although all I can do is listen, it's still good to know what's going on in the area when I'm out patrolling in the parking lot at night.
