I'd frankly be more impressed with the government if they got reforms/bills to fix the economy... or even stuff like just healthcare or education through congress as fast as those two bills nearly went through.

I'm one of those who joined in the little "publicity stunt" that a Texas representative named Lamar Smith declared this to be.

I have an idea - if you can, send a letter to him. http://house.gov and search for Lamar Smith - it will have his address. Sure, you're not in Texas, but you'll hopefully be able to explain what impact this is going to have outside of the USA.

And personally, I like my freedom. =D
