Hah I know how that goes, it's just the nature of the beast...I mean I love RPing about as much as I hate it sometimes.
As for ponies...well, MLP is right out, but some gargoyles are animal-looking, and you can't rule out some sort of horse-like Child of Oberon...maybe Epona or something of the like.
