Jhehqaht, man in the armor, helping a young Kehtyeh upon her arrival to the big city.

She is understandably a bit frightened- of him, the city, her situation in general. She's just 11 here, left her home village in the mountains (not by her choice) and came to the city as her best bet for survival.

Jhehqaht will help her find a place to live and find a job. It's his job as a junior guard to get new citizens squared away. However the two end up friends, so he went a little above the call of duty. He's got a soft heart under all that armor for the poor wayward kiddo.

I don't know why I decided armor was a good this to draw, because it takes SO FREAKING LONG, but at least it's done and it don't look too shabby.
Also I figure after this they walk holding hands and that is adorable, because a kind connection is just what Kehtyeh needed right then.

Also I mistakenly made Jheqaht left-handed. lol Oh well.
