Since people (rather inexplicably) seemed to enjoy the earlier redrawn comic pages I posted, here's a couple more I did recently on commission from the same person. The two pages are unrelated to each other, and I have no clue what comics they're originally from. (so please don't ask, I don't know!!) On the first page, it's clear that Orogo has some serious megalomania issues. On the second page-- while barracuda have incredibly sharp teeth and can inflict massive injuries, I've never heard of them attacking enmasse like a school of pirhanas.
Technique for these was the same as the previous examples-- blow up the original page on a xerox, throw it on a light table, redraw the hyoomans as furries, ink everything, redo the lettering digitally, copy onto cardstock and try to match the original colors with my markers as closely as I can.

Actually unless they colorized them, ever single EC comic reprint I have is in full color. Now that I think of it, that may be a Marvel. It has a 70s feel to it, but I still can't pin it down. I'm thinking Alan Moore. I may even /have it/ but oyi...trying to find it in a pile of 4,000 books.
What a great example of the old 60’s comic art, RG. A lot of those ‘people who (rather inexplicably) enjoyed the earlier redrawn comic pages’ [me being one of them] will enjoy these pages if for no other reason than they are great tutorials to learn from because you have exactly captured the saturation and flat comic book colors. O_O.
Much appreciated.

Oh Silver Age comics, you're so very. :D
I'm actually reminded of Matt Fraction's Everything I Needed To Learn About Comics I Learned From The Doom Patrol, the source of many out-of-context laughs then and now. :3

As I said in the image description, the whole idea was to copy the original page as closely as possible, including the coloring. As much as I would like to take credit for being a supahstah artist who can duplicate silver age Marvel style from scratch using my mad skillz, these pages were pretty much copied directly from existing pages, including the coloring.
