Yeah, I think most of us wouldn't really want to know our futures. At the least, we probably wouldn't believe what we saw. :)

Loved it.... it was like watching the witch from Snow White in my head... good imagery, and of course I am jelous because I can't rhyme to save my life.

Thanks, I had a bit of trouble wrapping my mind into the rhymes, (after all first time.) However it seemed that I got it down well enough. Thanks for the fave as well, more comments like that I may move this to the gallery.

I really need to find a system by which I can give honest critique to poetry. I don't know why, but I've never been able to do so; I always get caught up in structural minutiae, not to mention I'm a strict meter/rhyme Nazi. :|

I've thought about that myself, really. As in, if your fate is laid out before you, can it really be changed? Sure, you can dodge the bus that's supposed to hit you but who's the say the car on the opposite side of the road won't?

Heh, indeed. Poetigress' comment above covers that well. I've always believed we're masters of our own fate, but I can't deny the fact that some things happen in which we have absolutely no control over.

Not to the scraps. Hold it up high and be proud because it's lovely and full of delightful sentiment. And continue with potree #2 and #3 and so on. Then compare them to this and see if you grow and expand.

The lines seemed a little long..you might try something like

To all those hunting for their fortunes
you may find them here
To those who meditate their fates
you may find them near

That might just be my own peculiar taste showing, though..poetry is a sort of personal thing.

Hey, you do poetry also. Shame that I'm as good as deaf and blind when it comes to poetry. But I sort of a liked this, although I can't say why.

Truthfully poetry isn't my strongest suit, (I prefer writing novels really.) Like I said this was my first crack at poetry though it's a memorable one.
