A birthday gift for Didi. I wanted to draw her a picture of anything she wanted, which happened to be a brown rat :3 so happy birthday to you, you are a truly wonderful friend and sometimes I don't know what I'd do without you ^^ I know how good you are with rat anatomy, so I hope this is up to par on your standards :3
Mummy with her spritely bean, otherwise known as her baby. Blind and hairless, baby rats seem so vulnerable.
Reference from wonderclub.com's brown rat section. She is walking across a piece of chopped wood. I gave her slightly wider eyes since she was slightly squinting and I just love big eyes. I just did my own thing with the leaves as they were rather blurry and small in the ref.

Okay I tried thinking of something to say on here but I'm still pretty speechless on how you did this Claire, thank you so much : hugs tightly: And hey don't worry about the staderds, every artist has their own way of looking at the world. I really love this though and the wider eyes give here a more friendly look, nice touch there ^^.
