Chapter 19
Dashed sprinted out after Olivia’s direction, he could tell she was getting close to the clearing. His mind almost seemed feverish and all around him he saw things that shouldn’t be there, sure as a blue male fox being directed by some military looking guys on his right. He looked to his left and saw The Bridge where he lost Olivia. He kept running with the rising sun behind him, and after several minutes of dodging trees he made it to the clearing, and in the middle of it was something Dashed couldn’t comprehend.
Carla was just about done with Dashed’s madness, “If he is going to continue acting like this I have no choice but to shoot him in the knees and DRAG him to Canada,” she thought to herself. She was armed with a Winchester rifle, one that redneck had somewhere in his house, she didn’t want to use it but in the state Dashed was in he could attack her because he thought she was a giant candy cane or something.
“It’s been a few weeks and Dashed still hasn’t gotten better,” she thought, “how was he able to survive this madness for this long?”
She still could believe that Dashed would run away AGAIN, she found him in the same state every time: delusional and muttering something about Olivia, she couldn’t take it anymore!
“Just my luck,” she thought, “I put up all these signs praying that none of the crazies show up and what do I get? A crazie!”
She sighed and jogged after him, knowing exactly where he was going, the same place he went to every time, the place she always found him unconscious: on the path to the clearing.
Dashed started at the feral Olivia and she was still graceful in death even though a rib was poking out of the fur. All though Dashed knew she was dead he was still confused on how she was so decomposed if she only died yesterday. “I guess that would technically be two days now,” he thought as stared at the rising sun. Dashed still couldn’t figure out why she looked like she had been sitting there for weeks, she stank to high hell and flies were going in and out of her mouth and ears. He looked to his left and saw the fourth Olivia, she was dressed in a white dress. The dress itself wonderful, it fitted perfectly around her and the dress was partly see-through, her fur that was showing was white underneath. None of the parts were showing however and the dress made her more beautiful then vulgar. She placed a hand on his shoulder and he expected to go into a memory with her but instead her hand seemed to glow slightly white. She put her other hand on his shoulder and he felt an intense peace run through is mind. He always felt his mind moving, contently working and it seemed to drive him mad. The moment both hands touched his shoulders his mind seemed at ease, his head was finally free of the torment it endured for years. With one final shutter he dropped to his knees and passed out.
Carla finally burst through the trees, she saw the scene and guessed what had happened, “Great,” she thought, “Now I have to carry him back home where he’ll run away again. Why did I have to fall in love with him?”
She was about to pick Dashed up when she noticed the glow, it wasn’t very bright but she could make it out. Thinking nothing of it she picked up Dashed and was startled at how light he was. “I’m going to need to figure out what happened here, and hopefully I can get moving once he wakes up,” she thought to herself.
Hey, I found out yesterday that the thing that was going to keep me away from a computer was canceled due to weather...soooo I have the next chapter uploaded, I will be uploading the next chapter Monday as well. P.S. tell me what you think, do you like the direction it's going in, do you think it needs to be longer, tell me things and I'll fix them, keep in mind this is mostly going to be use to up my writing skills so anything you keep from me will only hurt me.
