One suggestion I have for doing those highlights on the computer is to use the smudge tool on a high rate (~90 - 95%), to make them a bit stronger (more of a harder edge)... That's my personal way of shading gooey/shiny though, and as Kartonis said the computer version looks good with strong colours and outlines. Keep up the good work! ^^..^^
