The Old Gang (OLD ART)
Every once and a while, it seems we artists get a bit masochistic and decide to share with the world our old art. I'll try to keep in mind that when you guys look at this, you're laughing WITH me and not AT me...right?...right?
Anyway, Wielder's non-morphic/feral story has been in the works for YEARS. I've draw characters from it for as long as I can remember. This particular picture was one I drew for my ex back in 2001. The character up front is his...he wanted to be some sort of GSD mutt...thing...I've since used his character to slowly become a villain of sorts since he's not around anymore. Nothing really against him, but I didn't want to just throw the design away, and with him no longer having creative input, eh, that's the way the character wrote himself. The white and silver GSD in the background is Khan, the leader. The dog lying on the blanket is Sawyer, a golden retriever mix. The dog on top of the crate is Ranger who looked too much like Dodger from Oliver and Company back then for my taste. The red female is Morgan, and she's an irish setter mix, and the last one on our right is Buck the wolfdog. So, it's kinda neat to see that all of these guys are still around in some form or another. Hopefully I can draw more of them soon.
As for info on the art, it's old, but I think it was done with prisma pencils and markers.

Haha You actually did it - now I feel like I should dig through one of my old art books and pull out something truly hideous to show to FA. It would probably hoomans too. >.>
Oh, on an unrelated note, we replaced the phone charger. So I can has phone calls again. Or Skype. ;D

Man, you always did have a certain something.
She-who-wields-the-wind... damn, now an extra half paragraph just has to go in some stuff I'm writing (which, astonishingly, is now alpha-complete, or was until five minutes ago; see note if you ever read them, but if you don't then that's okay *wag*).

Actually, I like seeing artists' older work not to laugh -with- them (especially not at them) but it's fun to see what your characters started out as, what your style was originally and how you've progressed. This is a very fun image and very cartoony, like something you'd watch on the Disney channel on a saturday. So it sure as shit ain't bad!
I'd really like to see more of this story you had in the works, from what I see here it looks really cool. Certainly like an Oliver n Company kinda look to it as you mentioned heh.
Either way the colors are really great for each character and the style makes me feel all nostalgic of the Disney animated movies back in the 80's and 90's
