Did that funky computer to iPod, back to computer, mp3 render thing again, so it's kind of really quiet.
Something I'm working on, but am not really sure of where to go with it.
I think it could possibly sound like an intro to an album or something? Maybe? I don't know.
Any ideas?

Does your soundcard not have the option to use sound out as an input? That's how I record my stuff; a simple cheap Creative X-Fi card does the trick; the PCI version is better than the PCI-e version, but they both do the job. The X-Fi is basically a new version of the old Audigy cards, which also work well.
If not, there are some free things for windows Vista and 7 that should be able to produce the same effect.
Also, sounds very cool. =3

No, I don't even have a full sound card, it's just a sound CHIP, so it doesn't have the full capability of a sound card. Also, doing it this way, for some reason, actually makes the MIDI sound less like shit and more...full, I guess is a good word for it. ;P
^^^^ - The reason I'm desperately trying to sell my computer right there. It's SPECTACULAR for everything except audio, which is the only thing I really need it for.
Thanks! Any idea where it should go from here? I'm kind of stuck on it, but I want this to be something that actually makes it to a full song. lol

It coudl go basically anywhere; it's a pretty nice intro. Personally I'd hold off on the heaviness and come back to it later for some epic outro-soloing. ...that's pretty much like 80% of my stuff. >.>;
The soundcards I use only cost about £20-30, however much that is in your crazy american money. Also,t hey're very very easy to install yourself. I try to steer clear of motherboards with "built-in soundcards", because they never do as much as even the cheapest proper soundcards do, which isn't exactly a lot.
I still say you should make the switch to GP6's RSE2, it takes a lot of work, but it'd sound great.

I'm just stuck on the flow right now, I think. I tried doing a pseudo-heavy distorted guitar bit on the end of it just now and it was so bad. lol The riff was nice, it just didn't fit, even though it had the same kind of feel as what I have already. :/
Are you using a desktop? I use a laptop and don't actually have a desktop, so I don't think I can even install a new sound card.
Yeah, that in US dollars is around $50-$70, I think. If I could afford that right now, I'd also have new strings on my bass and the new seven string. lol
As for GP6, I really can't stand using it. It freezes up constantly and the only thing I can do without it crashing on me is import a GP5 file and let it play as is. Also, I think the keyboard/piano/orchestral bits sound like shit in GP6. lol I'd rather stick with the MIDI for those in GP5. ;P
