I have never seen other series (well, rather "watched". I got few glimpses of different British Holmes) aside from those made in Ussr with Livanov as Holmes.
Those are a bit light hearted.
I assume BBC's are darker eh?
Anyways love Holmes. New movies sort of ruin the picture, but if you imagine those as in unrelated Universe they are good as well..
