Well, this guy happens to be leader of one of the 4th regions of the Tikala tribe. Named among the regions to lead their warriors. He is Monica's dad, his name is Balladeh, which to the tribe means "one with pride"
The sabertooth are a very interesting race, near mythological. 1 male is born in comparison to every 8 females on average. A single male can have many families but they normally limit to 3 or less. Males also happen to be on average 9 to 11 ft tall.
Talladeh happens to be an exceptional warrior but he didn't gain recognition easily. Male sabertooth are known for being extremely skillful at hunting.
Despite his fearsome looks, he happens to be very kindhearted.

Art notes: This was a muscle practice as well as aging practice. I applied a trick to reduce the head to represent their size as well. This is mainly to note the fact the male sabertooth are so tall. Still think I could have done a bit better but oh well X3

the whole Saber tooth race, I set in a tribal form. Monica traveled to the country of Kattia to look for her distant relatives.
Monica's mom happens to be from the city but her career focused on studying outside, sort of a explorer. She met this guy who... well... both grew an interest in each other :3

there is a back story, was mainly because of her mom. There was sort of a separation of the family. Her mom was a explorer and happened to find this race which grew on her. Monica's grandma died but nothing was told until a letter reached them. She told Monica about a relative that lived far away in the place she talked about so much in the past (the city)
Monica's curiosity was perked up and she wanted to find this relative. This is Syvis (tigress) but the story is quite long and elaborate so long story short, Monica found Syvis a year after Syvis gave up searching, which was the year in which Monica arrived to Kattia :P
