After having just lost a dear friend to an uncertain fate, our heros are forced to press on in their quest. Fate, however, leads them to a small shoreline settlement not recorded on any map or recalled in any historical texts. Here our heros learn that much of a history lost in time is still freshly remembered and celebrated annually with food and dance. On this special occasion, however, the small local celebration is in honor of their recent arrivals from the capital. Through song and dance, tune and tale, much of the history of a people thought to be native to the land of Methkendalm is retold and history is rewritten in one night's sitting.

This is a fairly old image that comes from the same fantasy story I've touched on in numerous other images here. This piece was done as an experiment and, I feel, came out decently enough to upload it here.

One last note is the image was inspired by (and best viewed when listening to) 'The Mummers Dance' by Loreena Mckennitt. Really brings the piece to life, I find.
