Poor Ch'p never got any respect. I find that a lot of comic book writers are really fucking stupid.

Like Ron Marz, whose brilliant idea it was to kill off Hal Jordan and replace him with the worthless sack of wet gym socks that was Kyle Rayner? That kind of stupid?

Thankfully there's othere comic writers like Christ Hastings to balance it out with sheer, unrelenting awesomeness.

There are waaaaaaaaaaay too many stupids to count. Hell, I can count on my fingers of just one hand the comics I'm actually enjoying right now. I admit I don't know enough of Kyle Rayner. Is he really worse than Guy Gardner?

Kyle was a terrible character, but oh man, don't you dare go badmouthing Guy!

Guy was the MAN! Still is, actually.

I've just heard about as much bad stuff about him as I have heard good. Hopefully he stops being jerky in the current JLI series, because I'm quite enjoying it.

Speaking of Guy, it bums me that one of his buddies from his Warrior days has been pushed into comic book limbo. Considering how better known furries are these days, you know they'd eat it up if they put Desmond Farr, a.k.a Tigerman, back into the comics:

Guy is a jerk, though. Grade-A, #1 jerk. But that's his charm. He's not false about it at all, he knows he's a badass and he even got into a fist-fight with Batman at one point. Guy was supposed to be Abin Sur's replacement, but Hal was closer to where Sur landed. Techically, Guy was more qualified, which is why he wound up with a ring, too.

Sure, he's abrasive, but he was the prefect foil for Hal, and he was what made Justice League: Europe one of the most fun series of the 90's.

I don't mind heroes having flaws and not being all goody-goody. I just don't like it when characters are jerks just for the sake of being jerks.

Guy was the bad boy to Hal's boy scout personality. They were great foils for each other. Besides, someone who isn't afraid to use the power is sometimes the best guy to have the power. That's where Guy came in.

And I gotta say, thank goodness he lost that hairstyle that made him look like Moe from the Three Stooges.

I guess it is pretty cool how there are not one, but four or five Green Lanterns on Earth. Same powers, different personalities which technically affect how the ring comes into use, makes it interesting.

Still a pity that for ages John Stewart was the worst-written character in comics. Thankfully, starting with Mosaic, he's begun to redeem himself. But the cartoon version is nothing like the comic one.

The only Green Lantern worth anything~

I shall simply politely disagree about Kyle Rayner (who took a while to grow on me) and the rainbow lantern concepts (fun! but gah, do I not care about a Red Lantern book at all ever.)

Ohhh...I absolutely LOVE what you did with Ch'p! MUCH better style.
