I can see the nuclear reactors, but does the sentience really add much for their fruit-bearing capacity? It seems like it'd just make them harder to manage...

perhaps you feel life would be better off without sentience, but that's not my opinion!

Well, they don't scream as much when you eat them, that's one thing.

maybe plants LIKE to be eaten :O many of their seeds have a better chance at germination after being deposited in a big ol wad of poo

I don't know how you manage to make the eyes stand out so clearly amongst a very well thought out design. They grab you and just never let go.

well they're focused on the viewer, and also the presence of that many eyes on a face is very visually abnormal to the human eye. we're naturally drawn to looking at it because our brain goes "wait, this isn't normal" and then then since the eyes are focused on the viewer you're stuck looking.

also they're bright green, which stands out strongly against the purple. combo of basic art psychology and colour theory goin on there :v

It works. Its a very lovely image, and dang, is the nikitak certainly unique for both being i must guess here, very fun to draw, but also liberating in that you can do the motions that would leave a contortionist in utter shock and awe, with a touch of jealousy.
