Back in 2010 my unit got sent to a training area back in the hinterlands of Japan... with no cable... just in time for the Super Bowl. As a service for all the football fans in my battery, I helped my fellow Marines rig an AFN dish to a 20-b curl bar and keep it pointed in the right direction with 550-cord and copious amounts of duct tape. The result, seen here, actually had decent reception.... now if only we could do something about those godawful AFN commercials.
