So for a while I have used the idea of Daar-rar as a character it started with the Elder scrolls Argonian fighter and archer and evolved into D&D 4E where she became a paladin and an assassin.
with 5E on its way I notice a few minor changes to the dragonborn class which helps it stretch into other rolls more easily and for a while I've been thinking about what to make her for my comics and artworks so I set up a pole to see what all you guys and girls think :)
for those wondering my new prices are still up for those interested!
Sketch -pencil and paper: £2 -will do 3 for £5
line art -ink or digital: £4
colour -digital only: £6
backgrounds:
simple colour and basic indoor/outdoor stuff will be free, but anything advanced will be negotiated
beyond that just ask me and we can work out a price.
if you're not sure what I will and won't do then just note me.

Well when I say how many 'board game' adaptations they were doing with 4th I realized it did get to simple. I still hate the power system and 'vanilla' flavor 4th still has. But in a way 4th did have some kernels of good ideas. Still nothing tops 3.5 and Pathfinder right now.
I just didn't know if any machincal things had changed for 5E cause god, they might do away with a d20 all together for all I know.

well when 4E first started i was all aboard it was essentials and the boardgames that follow the essentials rules that made it bad, for all reasoning it was 4.5 i liked the board games mostly for the models XD
they made the game "as easy or as hard as you want it" though from what i can tell its up to the DM to make it hard. i know they did try a card and coin system for early 5E but that was quickly thrown out.

Well if I want to feel like an already 'established' hero 4th is okay, cause reading the flavor texts of even lvl 1 powers and abilities it's stupid power.
3.5 to me though is taking a no name from whatever thier classes perverbal 'boot camp' is and starting from the mundane ground up to 'grow' into a powerful character...if they survive. I also feel like there is more 'investment' into 3.5 and Pathfinder characters then 4th.

i have one or two 3.5 books i never did find a party to play with for that though i did try some advanced DnD at a game store a few years ago which was interesting.
i like 4E just because it leaves a lot open for the storytelling though i know there's stuff like Disarm and such in 3.5 that would really change things up :) i wish i could get a steady party together i have an idea for 3 long running games :) but ill have to put them into comic form all the people i played with ether moved or moved on.

Well I've been a pc and a DM for 3.5, Pathfinder, and 4th. To me storytelling is the greatest 'joy' in these games. My major fault to 3.5 will be how it can get hard to understand and follow, in terms of game balance. (level adjustment bothers me to no end) and as someone that generally doesn't go for 'core' races playing something fair yet fun out of secondary book is hard. (I'm a fanatic for gnolls for example.) 4th is almost drag and drop though, and I think has a ton of starting monster pcs and starting classes, that means people can pick up and go with whatever they like.

it depends how far you want to go with a character for 4E if you use the character builder you can spend hours choosing traits and skills from all across the spectrum of books, its an amusing way of whittling away a few hours :)
mostly i stick to playing my Dragonborn or Drow though i did play a Dwarf once which was amusing, i also played in an all monster campagine for a bit now there was a laugh in that one all the players were just dungeon fodder trying to survive and escape XD i played a Thri-kreen in that :)
lets see ive done 4E, warhammer fantasy, star wars and i dabbled with werewolf the forsaken but my groups never seem to stick together :/

Yeah I avoid OP unless I stumble on it by accident. But yeah, If forced to stay in the 'core' mindset, I'll play Half-Orc and out of the 4th ed. player's handbook 1, I've wavered between Dragonborn or Tiefling (Wish they had Aasimar too)
I'll play a gnoll in anything that has them to play, Pathfinder made the Catfolk oh so awesome it's drool worthy. Dhampirs are cool too but tricky to work with.

the Aasimar were recently added actually but yeah i get the point :) i never did get round to playing a Tiefling, hell im still giggling that halfling and hobbit is considered a monster type XD was the burning of the shire all over again :3
still we shall see how 5E does if were lucky it will get mostly fixed before the end.
im glad im not in the play tests XD the NDC would kill me, fortunetly i watched some friends play it for an hour in a home game so i saw enough to know it needs some fixes.
