*giggles* This is a commission by  toddlergirl of Charlie and Kayla, who seem to be for once, enjoying a little role reversal.

Before I go on, this pic is based on a story idea for an alternate history of the characters of Kit Crossing, the big change here being that Kayla and Charlie are of the same age whereas in the bulk of the artwork Kayla's a teen while Charlie's just a toddler. The story revolves around Kayla's feelings for Charlie (in the main storyline, she does have a crush on Charlie but because of age is unable to realize it) and the two are able to realize those feelings. And yes, this is gonna be a long little story for this piccy, too. :P Anyway...this is a scene that follows "Kayla's Confession" (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3411902) and "Charlie's Curiosity" (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3548398) and "Together in Dreamland" (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3925565/).

As far as Charlie remembers, Kayla was always playing the caretaker, being the mommy and taking care of him; after all, he was a pawful. :P As such, she never let him be the "daddy" for her. That didn't stop her from wanting to be a vulnerable kit in Charlie's paws - she wanted to be his baby vixie and entrust her care to him. When the two were finally able to be out on their own...Kayla decided to spring it on Charlie after he got her dressed.

"Daddy, I wanna pway!" Kayla yipped and wagged her tail.

"Oh, does my Kayla wanna play with her baby boy?" Charlie playfully asked back. He giggled as she beeped his nose.

"Nuuuu...you daddy! Me, vixie kit!" Kayla yipped and cheered as she rolled around on her back. Charlie giggled as he ruffled her tummy, watching her squirm and giggle playfully. "Uppies on the horsie?" Kayla asked, wide-eyed and smiling.

"Okies baby," Charlie beamed as he scooped her up, then sat her on the big horse. "Before you can play though, you need your paci."

"But I wanna naaaay like a horsie!" Kayla pouted. She playfully squirmed and pouted till Charlie did pop a paci into her muzzle. She groaned a bit as Charlie started to rock the horse for her. Her disappointment faded as she started to squee through the pacifier, rustlewagging as she wiggled on the rocking horse, making it go faster and faster. Eventually she tired out and tugged at Charlie to let her off.

"Aww, don't wanna ride your horsie more baby?" Charlie asked, watching her shake her head, "Okie then, wanna lay down to catch your breath?" Kayla noddled as Charlie picked her up and laid her down, laying right by her. She started to wiggle the paci around her mouth. "Trying to tell me something?" Kayla noddled as she wiggled the paci just enough so she could speak.

"Daddy...I want'cha to have my paci!" Kayla chimed in happily.

"You sure? It has your slobber on it," Charlie pointed out. Kayla cooed and smiled.

"I want'cha to have my slobba, too...'cause my daddy likes his baby's slobba!" Kayla giggled and teased Charlie. He blushed a bit, but smiled...he was figuring that Kayla was doing it as a way for her to kiss him while in a toddler's mindset.

"Okie baby girl," Charlie said as he gently wiggled the paci out of her mouth, just as Kayla licked it a few times and giggled as she tried to paw at him, watching him put it in his muzzle.

"Wuv my daddy!" Kayla cheered as Charlie sucked on the paci as she pawwed him some more, "He just like me...wight down to his Pampers!" Charlie giggled and smiled as he ruffled her fur some more, eliciting a soft coo and murr from her, "Gwad I let of bein' mommy...guess it's time though." Kayla then pulled Charlie on top of her and nosekissed him, cooing softly.
