Wayyyyyback when I was getting into suit making, I made my first straitjacket. It was a bit baggy and was flawed.
The seams were crappy, but held up. The back buckles had larger straps than the ones that go around the torso. The colored areas were falling off. But it was a learning experience, and I have done other straitjackets that are alot better.
This not a redesign, but rather an overhaul for the one I have.
I don't want to say that it's a throwback to older designs, but I have seen older jackets, and they do somewhat have markings like this, the elbows, and end of sleeves were leather, as well as a big shoulder patch that ran down the front and rear of leather as well. I think that this is an update to the older designs.
