It shouldn't be particularly difficult to figure out what this story is supposed to spoof (or rethink, as the case might be) but once you get to the end it becomes pretty obvious. I came up with the idea at FC this year and was promptly told that I needed to document it in some form. It's supposed to be one of those "bait and switch" type things that became popular on websites like /b/.
It's not much, but I got it out at least.
