Aw nice!

Did you scan or use a camera? Either way, the exposure of the image is not very good - you could consider tweaking in Gimp or similar and adjusting the tone curve or balance so the paper is whiter and the pencil a bit darker.

I did just use my camera. As someone who's pretty much never worked with Gimp, how would I go about doing that?
