"Remember the time we laid on the grass on the hill in the great fields? We watched the world together... You and I forever."
A memory of a friend from my childhood who died when I was young.
I heard a song by Doxx and it sparked some old memories.
This isnt a sad picture to me. More like a happy memory of a beautiful time spent with my friend.
Some more experiments with softening the lines with this one.

I’m afraid that most furry artists fall into a rut when it comes to drawing furry characters. All too often the characters look like they spend six days a week at the neighborhood gym, never eat unhealthy snacks, have perfect eye-sight and are always between the ages of 20 and 23.
Drawing a very young character (within the AUP rules), or a skinny character, or even an elderly furry character every once in a while will not only introduce some variety into our output, but also stretch our artistic skills. Different proportions, different facial structures, different expressions, etc.
BTW: I like you current avatar. Heh, I sat and watched it cycle for almost a full minute because it is so good. That grin is very wolfish.

Well thats true. I can be guilty of drawing characters like that myself too. It's odd, but I find it easier to draw muscles than a character thats over weight. More practice for this bluewuff i guess ^_^
lol I'm glad you like my icon. Wolfy grins are always good *grins and wags* ^_^

I wonder if anyone noticed some strange patterns here. Like how your friend's eyes are blue like your fur and your eyes are brown like his fur. Also, in this pic it kind of looks like you're a connection between heaven and earth since your fur is blue like a sky but you're sitting firmly on the ground and the perspective even adds to the feeling.
Overall it's a nice piece and memory of yours.

I think you have really looked into this drawing more than most pup. My character pointing at the sky was how myself and my friend used to watch the clouds go by and would try to see shapes in them. the young version of my character pointing upwards could also be pointing towards heaven.
I guess I tried to put some inner meanings into the picture. But everyone will see something that others do not.
Thanks for the comment White

It's a change of pace from usual drawing. Good to mix things up a little. I also had to wait until I felt my style had gotten to the point where I could pull off such a picture. *huggles the blue dragon* thanks Aku. You are the king of cute drawing to me, so thats a great compliment ^_^
