This pic came out all kinds of wrong, but I loved the idea too much to pass it up. Maybe it'll be one of those things I redraw down the line, but the idea of a fennec using her ears for sonar is just utterly.... practical. Aside from the fact that it'd probably not even work in real life.

They apparently use them to detect the movement of insects beneath the ground, so...I think that could actually work.
I mean, it's not like there's never been a fire-titting (fire-titting?) mutt before...of coooooourse not. Not like either of us've taken reality and broke it over our knee, 'course not... =/
