Young Aura got a Teddy Ruxpin the summer before she started Kindergarten. This made her very happy as she had long wanted the bear who could take any kid on an adventure like no other.
Aura took Teddy almost everywhere that somewhere. Eventually, her parents true intentions shined through as they handed her one of Teddy's books and asked her to read a story to Teddy.
Aura, who had been used to just viewing the pictures while running and jumping about with Teddy was at a bit of a loss. She didn't want to let Teddy down, but the words were tougher to read than she thought they'd be.
Seeing her puzzled and conerned look, mom and dad sat beside their aspiring, school-age girl, switched on Teddy's tape, and helped to her to follow the words as Teddy shared them in the way only Teddy Ruxpin could.
No doubt, with Teddy and her folks, Aura will be more than ready for her first days of Kindergarten with Teddy being her very first show-and-tell.

I never had a Teddy ruxpin myself. But I remember the commercials and thinking how awesome it would be to have a reading companion as magical as he was.
For my wife's 25th birthday, I hit eBay and got her a Teddy Ruxpin like she had when she was a kid. It worked great and she shared memories of how fun it was to put music tapes, like Metallica, into it and watch Teddy "rock out"! :)
