I originally wasn't going to say anything, but I am now, 'cause I'm tired of pretending I don't know him.
Shade's like that, we were trying to teach him how to politely decline art, but I guess it didn't work. The best you can do is hope he apologizes, and avoid offering him free art. (I'm going to whine at him about my ex girlfriend and how I worry about her if he doesn't AT LEAST apologize) My goal is to make sure my friends avoid the same problem I had, which was saying something mean and not apologizing for it, 'cause now I regret it. So off I go to start whining!

Some people don't like to get pornographic gift art, some people don't like to get gift art at all, some prefer to be asked first, some people don't like to accept gifts at all. It is a personal preference that should be respected. However silly it seems to not want to accept gifts, when gifts are a common way to show 'affection', some people are just like that and don't want a gift forced upon them due to various reasons which I am not going to discuss here.
You are a bit too sensitive for your own good, which can't really be helped, but perhaps being a little more sensitive to others' point of view can be. Also, it was really rude of him to block you. Blocking is probably best reserved for individuals who serve some sort of threat, like stalkers, not benign people trying to give gifts lol. Oh well, each person has their own priorities~
Also, pointing-out the person who upset you, particularly to a huge group of people who like you(your following) is an extremely irresponsible thing to do! >:C

...wait how does a person decline custom-made art? Like, no, seriously, how does a person physically do that, just shout NO NO NO when you say "I have a gift for you." What possible reason could a person have for putting an artist through that?
This makes absolutely no sense to me. One of my most treasured belongings is an MS Painted circle tool trainwreck, because the person who made it threw everything they had into it, as a symbol of the bond we shared. Art is not a thing that just happens accidentally. Art is the result of hard work backed up by years of even harder work, and anybody who just "declines" it is a complete toolbag.
As far as I can tell your friend is totally froot loops, man. I'm sorry he put you through that. But to be honest? You're better off without toxic people like that in your life.

Perhaps they feel like getting a gift means they owe something in return that they cannot possibly repay for. Which might be their own personal standing for everyone, or only for people they think have a tendency to hold things like that over others' heads in order to maintain a state of power. It is a fairly common thing and a fairly common reason for people not to accept gifts(of any kind, including art), believe it or not.
So if that is the case, it is not that they are declining you, or your art that you have 'worked hard for years' on, but more of a matter of not wanting to be in a position of debt that could never be paid back "enough".
However, it is pretty weird for a furry to not want free picture of their character~ :3c

As a guy who has lost more friends than I care to count, I can say that I know how ya feel.
Take it from me. As hard as it sounds, it's best to just not dwell on it. Much as you want to, much as you want to fix it, to make it better, just push it from your mind. Don't forget it - just sort of block it off as much as you can, but don't all out bottle it up. Allow some space for venting when it's needed.
