I think I've fallen in love.
Brindle wolfdog? I must be dreaming.
And he's CAMPING?
I would take this boy camping every damn day.
Just look at that handsome face.
And he's up for adoption, and not too far from me.
Man this is a boy I'd be willing to leave everything behind for, and run away to the woods with, haha.
So, what's his story? Is he a rescue or do you breed or...?
I'm off to go stare at more photos of him. c:

I live in Corvallis, OR., and I just wrote a MASSIVE post here regarding my current and hopeful future situations, but I deleted it because of its sheer size. Basically, I'm not in any position to take him in at the moment, but if this is one of those cases where you took him in and planned on keeping him for awhile but need a sort of "backup" foster home or are unwilling/unable to make a long-term commitment, I may be able to help out in the future. If you're looking for an immediate home, I'm sure there's no shortage of interested parties and so I wish you both the best of luck. c: No matter the situation, if he did ever end up with me, that is where he'd stay!
Within a year or two's time, we will hopefully have moved elsewhere in town/nearby and into a home more secluded (surrounded by forest or countryside) and with a yard fit for a big, high-energy indoor/outdoor dog (most likely 2 dogs). This is the goal, anyway. And by then, our current pets (rat brothers) will most likely be towards the end of their lifespans or passed, and we will be able to give some dogs the time and attention they deserve. We decided we'd only be on the lookout at shelters, rescues, and personal ads for homeless/soon-to-be homeless dogs, and so I've been picturing a rather large and young adult dog who might be more difficult to place than the next guy. That's why he caught my fancy so~. Sorry if you're on the lookout for an immediate adopter and if my post got your hopes up. Nonetheless, I -am- still curious. What sort of training are you doing with him? :3

He's from a litter here, which is from a rescue we've been trying to catch and spay. Most of our guys are rescues tho, some like him, are from our rescues. Lol
At the moment, we have quite a few looking for homes, young and old.
Oh, he is destined for a home already, but if that falls through, I will let you know.
Basic training like walking on the leash, sit, stay, wait for food, and obedience. Mainly control and discipline, since wolf dogs always need a leader to look toward. Never let them control themselves or they will challenge to be Alpha and lead you. I see this happen too often, since they are strong willed.

Ah so you do manage a rescue then? Do you have some sort of website or...?
Definitely keep me updated on him. c: I wish the best for him and all the homeless souls you're looking after.
Glad they're being well cared for in the mean time.
And it's fantastic that you're training them as well for the very reasons you've listed. ^^
