I'd like this one better, but you need some visual hierarchy in here. The edge sharpness is all over the place.

Looks really nice, I think if you kept some of the shading and outlines a bit sharper like on the digital version it would look really great.
Because here the rendering is so soft and fluffy that it makes it hard to look at. Not like its ugly, just hard to understand the shape and mass of it because of it being unclear. Be more confident in your shapes and implied line!
Otherwise cool looking character design, I would love to see more doodles of it.
