This was a commission for
featuring himself and
enjoying some stroopwafels together!
Mnnn... I've been told I made the Netherlands too hilly! Well, I have never been there, ha ha! :D Every day you learn!
Lanakila was kind enough to share some of the stroopwafels he brought home with him, and I must say they are quite a lovely treat. :D

Yeah they are a totally different thing - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stroopwafel
Think of like 2 waffle cones that they use here for for ice cream, but softer, and inside there is a thin layer of stuff. (I've had syrup and honey - I liked the honey the best!)

Thanks again for completing this commission, Mary! Squee! It looks FANTASTIC! Kiki is such a wonderful person in real life and I absolutely adore her ring-tailed lemur character!
Yay for a picture depicting stroopwafels and the Netherlands!
Thanks for always capturing my vacation moments in your artwork! =)

There are few things more delicious in this world than stroopwaffels. Funny thing, a friend of ours from the Netherlands actually brought like three packages of them to MFF last year. I probably ate about half of them on my own.
btw, they sell these (although in mini size and maybe a little lower quality) at Trader Joe's: http://traderjoes.com/fearless-flye.....article_id=351
