I think the closest I ever came to being abused and tossed out into the streets was when I put a rubber spider into the pocket of Mom's bathrobe. It was almost as big as my hand (I was, like, six years old) and actually had "hair" in it's legs.
Once she calmed down enough to realize that it was fake and where it came from, I was shown just how patient my mother really is. I was, however, made to swear that I would never do it again under penalty of...well...the above!

Danke! I had to draw one of my friend Bernard's "Voxxan" Space Pirate characters with a black eye, and I couldn't quite figure out how to do it. This image reminded me of a fellow who was "Furry Fishing" at Further Confusion. He'd dangle little candy treats fro, a line at the end of a stick before artists at their tables and fans alike.
