The name is Bond. James Bond x6.
Well, this ended up being a hell of a lot more time-consuming than I expected, but since I'm in that lovely phase of I-have-no-art-deadlines-and-can-draw-whatever-the-fuck-I-want, I went for it.
At any rate, Devon and I were watching a lot of Bond films during his last visit, per usual at Christmastime. Then we got to talking how Bond would look anthropomorphized.
Of course, there's been six "official" Bonds, all with very different actors. So that's not a simple question. So.....
This was a bit of an experiment, since I don't generally draw portraits, but I wanted to see what traits I could capture of the actors and still make it recognizeably my style. It was a LOT harder than I thought, since I tried to keep too close to the actors originally and the end result was a bit...Thundercat-ish.
The other challenge was trying to pick a different outfit and pose for each one that was relatively unique to their style and movies. I don't think it's any surprise what I chose for Daniel Craig XD
Hopefully I did well enough that I don't HAVE to ID each actor, but they're in chronological order if not.
As to exactly WHY this is so important...see here!

Yes, bit of a purist when it comes to Bond.
Sean Connery aside, I will admit I haven't seen enough of the other actors, save Moore. Whenever I hear that a new Bond actor comes along my ears perk - I kinda hope Hugh Jackman tries the role but I know he isn't in the prime age range now.
Again you did a nice tribute here! It makes me wonder if I could request you to render a celebrity or 2 as a furry.

Oh I looooove James Bond movies, I've seen all moves uncoutable times!
Hmm let's see, 1st one Sean Connery, 5th Pierce Brosnan and 6th Daniel Craig are quite straight forward. 3rd should be Roger Moore. 2nd George Lazenby and 4th Timothy Dalton? With those two I'm not sure ^^;
While in the movies Sean Connery is definitely my favourite, from your interpretation I'd ask the fox to have a vodka martini with me ^^

Ah good. For some reason I always mix those two up. But I think I can keep them apart now. Just have to remember: Lazenby is the horseface :-P
I think it is because Connery defined what James Bond had to be like. And all the others were trying to fit that role. Excep for Daniel Craig perhaps who played Bond in a very different way. Still, Craig was very hawt... err I mean good with his interpretation of the role ^^
Oh there are so many fun things to do with fluffy foxes

I'd forgotten how many people like suits >.> The worst part was coming up with five different versions of formalwear. People might think Daniel Craig's version was on purpose, but really, it was just for variety, dangit XD
I had one panel of Cody (and Todd) dressed up for prom. Jake...not so much XD

Just kinda going by the feel of the actor and the usual species stereotypes. Connery is often considered the most masculine and sexy of the bunch, so I wanted a rugged animal. Lazenby was was a bit of a joke since he was disguised as Sir Hillary Bray, so I figured something hoofed could disguise as a mule (plus he's got a bit of a long face). Moore was good-looking and charming, but not particularly physical. Dalton is a Shakespearean actor, so he needed something regal and sophisticated with a lot of hair Brosnan needed something also smooth and slinky, but more powerful than a fox (and I've always considered him facially the most attractive). And Craig needed something active, feral, and...blond
I'd like to see YOU come up with a sixth unique formalwear iteration XD J/K.
Yeah, well, it's also hard to arrange five in a square. I actually was going to omit Dalton, going by all guys who'd been Bond more than twice (Craig is confirmed in Skyfall, the upcoming one this year, so that's three for him) but I just decided to go for all of them.
Moore did the white jacket too but I think Connery rocked it better.
Thanks!

Oh my gawd, I think you hit Moore and Dalton right on the spot! I can definitely make them out ^.^
Connery pretty much just because of the Scottish outfit. :-/
Craig... a little, but hell yeah, I would've chosen THAT scene for him too XD
And Brosnan looks good too... especially the hair. But why exactly a black panther?

Yeah, Daniel Craig's face eluded me. That was the one that kept getting too Thundercatty @.@
And yeah, it's ironic that the actor put in a kilt was not the Scottish one, but the Aussie XD
Re: Brosnan, Iunno...he's active and graceful in action scenes, fit but not quite as forceful as some of the more rugged Bonds. I figured he'd probably do stealthy things the best. And trying to match his features was weird because he's very good-looking but doesn't have hugely strong features or facial references (like Moore's eyebrows or Connery's chiseledness), and a black animal also looks more "smoothed out".

OH HELL YES! I LOVE Bond, a total freak for it! One of my all-time favorite quotes is from a "Bond" film (OK, knock-off remake), "Never Say Never Again":
Algernon ("Q") : "Good to see you Mr. Bond. Things've been awfully dull 'round here. I hope we're going to see some gratuitous sex and violence"
Getting my mate into it, too. Now Nugget has Bond fantasies...

BTW, Lazenby is SPOT ON! You've got Connery's sly grin down to an art there (no pun intended), too.
Why Moore as a fox? His comedic timing and sense of fun? He certainly fit the times, didn't he?
Let's try to forget the Dalton years. Please?? Almost killed the franchise; it was Bond's version of Berman & Braga. Except without the death knell and cancellation
And, for the record, I waited YEARS to see Pierce Brosnan as Bond. Worth the wait!

My favorite bit from that movie was where Fatima was trying to make him admit she was the best he had, and he says, "Well, there was this girl in Pittsburgh[I think]" (*BLAM!!*)
Thankee muchly! Connery was one of the easiest to work with.
Well, Moore was more a lover than a fighter, and he was pretty cute when he started, which is the usual fox rep
Once I started it, it kinda became all-inclusive, sorry I actually almost stopped with Moore/Connery/Brosnan/Craig but decided to do all six.
Yeah, I kinda wish they'd gotten one more with him...

Sadly I can't comment on all of them since I haven't seen all the Bonds, but I do have to say, you captured Connery's facial features perfectly, Moore's signature eyebrow, and Craig's face (and body!) so very well. I can even see echoes of Brosnan in the features there, and I think I saw Dalton once and so can see him in the lion's features too.
Add in the references to things like Bond's white suitjacket, the martini, and iconic scenes and shots, and this really is a clever, creative, wonderful concept. But I expect nothing less from you. ^_^
Also: KILT!!

I can see you now, staring long and hard at the screenshot of Craig... trying to capture his likeness for your drawing.
I didn't even know about Lazenby till now! The only obscure Bond I knew was David Niven.
The equine looks a bit out of place among all the felines and canines, but I guess that makes sense!

You bull-eyed Connery, Moore and Brosnan's expressions! Poor George Lazanby, only one movie, but he really seemed wooden and awkward as Bond. Haven;t seen enough with the two most recent 007s to compare, but they look great, subtle expressions come through really well! Nice bods too! FUNNESS! Next do one for all the Moneypennys!
