Another entry for the FA Chakats flag contest.

Flag design for Chakona.

I chose to keep it sober, mostly white, to symbolise the young colony world. A clean slate so to speak...

The sapling represents the hope for the future, three leaves standing for the humans, morphs and aliens that make Chakona their home.
The two suns depicted represent Chakastra and Sol as a symbol of origin and that both brought life to this new world.

The large green wedge is the standard for Chakona, representing Chakona's rainforests. with the blue bars representing it's rivers and oceans.
Although the color in that wedge can be changed into the local colors/flag of a city or town, or banner for special occasions such as for example Longtail day (Chakona's version of mother's day, but more broadly)

The smaller wedge with the stars represents membership to the federation.
It also contains the original survey name of the planet (too small to be depicted here) Aquila 19D8A-04 along the diagonal bar.
