My first submission for the year but the first draw (that I hope can be submitted soon too). I've been meaning to draw a cartoon skeleton for a while because I tend to usually dislike how cartoony skeletons usually look. Either way I put a lot of work in this one and figured I should return on a strong note.
Fun Fact: Human skeletons are the polar opposites to fat furs.

Well I heard the original script for 3 was a great deal better (though it did have the resistance and the woman cop from the first 2 died as well)....I think Miller wanted his name removed from 3 given that the script was almost completely different to the one he wrote.
Well thank you and I think you have been as well. Lately I think Kyan has been experimenting a bit with other styles to see how that work and such, where as I've been kinda sticking down the stylistic path I started doing down in 2010 to see where it continues to take me as well as trying to refine my work further with each drawing (as you do).
Nice! This shows pretty well that you're getting a better grasp on color and, to a degree, lighting as well. I really like how you shaded the clouds and I'm in love with the colors you used, for some reason.. Good work! Definitely a good start to 2012 (and I also like how you redid your signature as well. It's a lot less distracting.)
Look!, a plastic skeleton playing a violin, where you can see the string! You're getting better and better Slain!
I not sure if skellies are the true opposite of a fat fur. I think it would be...malnourished furs, anorexic furs, and movie star furs who constantly throw up in the toilet, and I dare say UFC fighters that do that too. Just sayin'.

Well thank you, well it's always been kinda a peeve of mine when some people go to great deal of deal in most of the pic and then proceed to draw a really half arsed skeleton.....this cartoon skeletons are the worst offenders of that so I really wanted to try and do a good one here. I am glad you like it.
I couldn't agree more with the half-assed skeletons around here. Some people do an impeccable job with just a bit of research, and I understand when people struggle with certain parts (pelvic bone perspective and rib cages), but you can always invent imaginative ways to them, make them into simpler shapes. I am obsessed with bones, and it tears at me when people don't make any effort at all in trying to make a skeleton look like a skeleton.. huff.
That's not even just around here.....I have even seen professional artists draw half-arsed skeletons. I mean just look at how in most cartoons they are even drawn incredibly shoddy. This bugs me even more sense these are paid professionals in a field I've been trying to break into myself and they then cut corners but drawing a shitty skeleton.
They may be well known cartoonists whom have little knowledge of skeletons though do a lot of other great themed work, so they do things in their own style. Or perhaps the audience and/or their boss has little idea what a skeleton looks like in all its glory. Who could say for sure how awful bones are put out there? It's sort of like how every bone pile in a cartoon consists only of femurs and skulls.
My biggest peeve is lack of proper bones in the arms and legs (tibia, fibula, ulna and radius), and instead use femurs for everything. That's basically borderline stick-man.
