I commissioned this as a gift for
Kirydos who is generally all-around fantastic and one of my dearest friends. We've both been Star Trek fans for a good long while, and he's recently gotten me into playing Star Trek Online which I've been very much enjoying. Thanks to time differences I don't get a great deal of chances to actually play -with- him, but when we are able to play together it's a lot of fun. So an image by one of my favourite artists of the two of us involved in some Trek adventure seemed like a worthy gift!
We're both delighted with how it came out. ^^ I love Ryoken's actiony poses, and details I'm particularly fond of are the look of those blast marks and the design of the uniform boot. All around I couldn't be more pleased with it. ^..^

He really does great work! I really admire his anatomy work, and how he makes wings look and act believable instead of just looking like tacked-on costume wings.
I always think dragons look particularly good in the uniform. ^^ We'll have to geek out about Trek stuff next time we talk! ;D
