Not exactly Star Trek, as the commissioner designed the uniforms. A father and son onboard a starship.

ah now HERE is ho a Caitian should be... and man i love how this looks. I just got so .. annoyed that in alot of the new comics that show them and even the MMO Caitians are ... bald. >,< gah wasn't the person who designed these guy for those formats even look at the old animated show *smirks* in the way his picture is amazing :)
That designs looks a lot like one of the armors you get on Star Trek Online. minus all the segmented sections of course.
The Caitians in that game don't have the manes they're supposed to. I can give him a beard but that's about it.
Anyway I really love this pic. :3 Love the expression on the fathers face about his son's enthusiasm.

And the mystery commissioner is... me! =^_^=
These two are R'Murran and his son, Kannekin. R'Murran is the Chief Engineer of the commercial starship "Phoenix", and he's trying to get his 13 year old son to take an interest in his work. Unfortunately the boy is a bit of a daydreamer, and frequently doesn't pay attention like he should.
These are only the second and third male Caitians that I've gotten drawn so far. Megan did an excellent job, and the few discrepancies between this and my descriptions are purely because I failed to convey the information to Megan. The most glaring oversight is the fact that Caitian hands are far more pawlike with their short fingers. They use their retractable claws to manipulate fine objects.
Thanks for the great art, Megan! I'm adding it to my story immediately!
