Unexpected, at least to judge by the other comments. (Sadly I don't know DNA, yet.) I'm also not particularly into the destructive side of macro. However, this certainly would be one way the world could end.
And aside from your usual great job on anatomy, you did a gorgeous job on the clouds, and those are some nice explosion effects.
