Timmy to the Rescue is the worst movie I have ever seen.

It totally ruined NIMH for me.

You draw mouse-based artwork and have never watched "The Secret of NIMH"? Seriously? It's an American Animation Classic done by Don Bluth.

I just be trollin ;3 I've seen NIMH. I'm not really a huge fan. I love the sequel though.

The sequel was awful.

I mean, it was bright and colourful and they sang. That was like, everything that the first one didn't have...

Say what you want, but I'd rather watch Timmy to the Rescue than the original any day :)

Yes, it was based off the book.

The sequel was not.

Based on the book, but not very acurate to the original source material I'm afraid.

OK, I was just saying that although many consider the first film to be Bluth's masterpiece, it did take some liberties, so it won't win any awards for staying true to it's source. and one major liberty was made, but that wasen't his fault though, it was a stupid toy company that made Bluth changed the name of Mrs. Brisby. If anything like it or not I think the film suffers a bit from the infamous 'Poltegiest Curse', as Jerry Goldsmith provided the music to both movies and 5 years later sadily the actress who played Mrs. Brisby/Frisby...well I won't mention it here for fear of upsetting this picture's host, but if you look up Elizabeth Hartman and you know what I mean..if you don't all ready know. Anyway Ribnose is entitled to her opinion and I'm in agreement with her. NIMH just never really appeals to me, because of it's intended dark nature.

Ribnose is a NIMH contrarian par excellence. And I thought I had contrarian tendencies.

Hey, I'm not -just- a contrarian :) I genuinely like Timmy to the Rescue and I unironically am not a big fan of the first movie.

Same with me. The characters look ngreat and all, but Bluth's work always come across as being very dark when it dosen't need to be, perfect example of this is of course 'Al;l Dogs Go To Heaven', or 'This film will make your child cry the instant you read them the title'.

NIMH is National Institute of Mental Hearts. My own character escaped from a laboratory of the National Institute of Mental Health.

Thanks ever so much for drawing this. I love it and the fact good ol' Bernard is showing poor underdog Timothy Brisby a bit of respect. He's film may not be the best, but you still gotta have some love for the character and what better then to express it then a well known Disney mouse who made it onto the big screen years before Timmy's mum did. It's also ironic in the way that Timmy would get the least successfull sequel, but Bernard did. I only just now thought about that. Awww.

Bernard: No hard feeligs Timmy. Not everyone's sequel can make it big like mine did. But just know there are some people out there who'll like you for just being you and nothing else.

Dear Lord! My Childhood! All is not lost!!

I've always been a big fan of 'The Rescuers Down Under' (mainly for Marahute, the great golden eagle -- naturally!). :) I've always loved 'Secret of Nimh' too!

Two movies that produced some awesome mice characters!

This is cute. I've seen both of the movies The Secret of NIMH and both the first and second ones were both just fine to me. Sure the sequel had different actors, different plot and everything was different but it turned out good to me, both of them sound good but that's just me.
