Four days of intense drawing, culminated into this!
Was surprised to see nobody did a ponyfied version of this scene from "My Neighbor Totoro," so I sought to fix that. I think it turned out adorable!
It was hard to choose just who to put in Satsuki/Mei's place; I thought of other possibilities: Applejack and Applebloom, Rarity and Sweetie Belle, Fluttershy and Angel...but this combination worked the best, I feel.
Why Fido of the Diamond Dogs? Well, another pony would seem rather unfitting, something out of Everfree Forest would've been a bit too feral for the part, and he seems to be the biggest and nicest of the three dogs.
By the way, if you're one of the eight or so people who haven't seen "My Neighbor Totoro" yet, you really should, it's such an enjoyable film, very much something you should watch whether or not you enjoy MLP.
Many thanks to a few vector artists over at DeviantArt's MLP Vector Club, whose fine works I could not have crafted this without. (except for Fido there, him I had to recreate from blurry screenshots!) And, of course, thanks to the ever-creative whiz Lauren Faust for revitalizing MLP, Studio B for making it into an awesome show, Hasbro for keeping it going, and Studio Ghibli for their animated films that fit in a league of their own. Woo!
