a little impression of our swedish winter ... right now something between -10°C and -17°C where I live ... predictions say something about -45°C for the northern parts during the coming weekend .... brrrrr

That's a lovely composition. Taking photos into harsher light is always difficult and you've pulled it off. ^^

that looks stunning, though i'm not sure i'd trade our 20+ degrees C for that much cold though

I like that you are experimenting with back light. i like the ice it adds a touch of drama. the sun and ice look a little to hot and the composition lacks something in drama. I just feel like its a bit untidy due to composition and lighting. its also just a bit to ordinary this doesnt knock my socks off the way the yawning lion or the icicle do. I cant exactly put my finger on it the one tree being cropped off i am not sure id crop it that way too

its an excellent image though. better than most anything you see on FA so dont take this to harshly

too hot means white balance off or too bright?

I was also thinking about that tree ... but as I only had about 10cm in each direction before drowning in icy waters I kept it inside the frame
