You know, I'm drawing as much from Segar's Thimble Theater as from the Fleischer's better-known commedia cel arte, but I actually think Rarity (the Best Pony TM) would make a better Wimpy than Fluttershy. Despite his name, Wimpy's essential personality trait isn't his cowardice, but his brazen attempts to mooch and manipulate.
Needless to say, Rarity (the Best Pony TM) would never do anything so coarse as mooch, but she is, shall we say, adept at using he force of personality to influence the decisions of those around her.
Truth to tell, while I can hear both Fluttershy and Rarity (the Best Pony TM) delivering lines like "I'd gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today" and "I'd gladly mow your lawn if you had a lawn to mow", and those lines are quite amusing when heard in Fluttershy's tiny whisper, the dulcet inflections of Rarity (the Best Pony TM) not only capture the essence of J. Wellington Wimpy himself, they also make the lines her very own.

TWILIGHT SPARKLE, PINKIE PIE, APPLEJACK, RAINBOW DASH, RARITY, and FLUTTERSHY
have dedicated their lives to learning about friendship
and taking over the world with their army of BRONIES!
