Meet Sierra, a D&D Druid, and her Animal Companion, Cube.
(Yes, I just did. I'ma burn in pun hell for that, for sure)
Cube's a rashemi riding dog. Though there might be a bit of a Blinkdog in there - unusual, but not unheard of. He does display uncanny intelligence (Riding dogs have 2, Blinkdogs sport a neat 10), and the general appearence is somewhat similar. He didn't exhibit the ability to instantly move in space up 'til now, though, besides the usual canine means. He's a real sweetheart, though.
Guess I'm stuck with a lvl 1 animal companion throughout my campaign, because 5 out of 7 people in the party instantly went "aaaaaawww, yay cube!". Heh. Well... gotta try to convince the DM to at least let me buy some magical barding later on. I planned on having a velociraptor, but oh well ;)
Here's a question: If druids have "Speak with Animal" as a lvl1 spell... suddenly, there's no question about consent, right? =P
No, I'm not saying they do. I'm merely implying they might ;)
