He wrote a story called "The Man with a Thousand Legs" which featured a ray device that essentially turned any living thing into a mass of octopus-like tentacles. This is from the golden age of Sci Fi.

Looks like Medik just got what he deserved for forcibly altering you with some random marine life DNA or some such, good thing it is octopus! now you got him with like, four or five times the limbs he has! although you do have an unfair advantage, I mean, it'd be so easy for you to get combo attacks!
