In 2003-2004, I did a short series of gifts for friends, themed as "Emo Chibis". They're just smaller, childlike versions of the regular characters, and mostly sad or thoughtful looking. It made sense at the time ^^

This one, for  jessietwolf, was the biggest and most detailed. The wings were somewhat done on a whim, because her picture felt very cherubic as I was working on it. Normally Jessie has furry dragon wings. The interesting thing was, as I was working on the pic (secretly), Jessie told me about a dream she had the previous night where she had feathered wings... so I showed her the inked version right then, and later colored the patterns on the wings to match her description of the dream.

I'm still very pleased with the coloring and mood.
