Man this is really good lol. I love the fact that she is a shark and that she looks a bit timid. She also kinda looks like she could be Spanish with the hair and the cloths. Excellent work as always ^_^

LOVE the pose and expression on this one! I actually think this is one of your best pieces so far! It has so much subtly to it and I think it looks less muddy with the painting method. I'd love to know what you did for your quicker painterly method! i have been experimenting with lots of different methods and haven't quite found one I like for that look yet.

Thanks! Yeah that's something i've been having a bit of trouble with, getting it to not look quite so "fuzzy" or blurry. Still working on it. This one wasn't especially complicated, I just did the sketch, threw down a solid shadow color beneath it, and then immediately went to the highlights on top of everything, and then just blended it into the shadow color.

Yea this one looks a LOT less blurry! If you ever have time do you think you could do a simple tutorial of your process of what you mean? You can just send it to me privately if you dont want to submit it for everyone. I'd be happy to give you suggestions on some tips and tricks I have found as well. Do you use the smudge tool a lot? I use that to make it look painterlysometimes but I dont like to use it as much and it lags bad sometimes unless I use a small brush which is great for fur but not for blending large areas of color. I miss using paint its so much easier lol But I want to get the same feel without having to break out all the messy art supplies in my tiny crap apartment with horrible lighting haha.
