You are one of the many workers at the Chronicler data retention center. You job is to track down and remove information that might later inconvenience the System, and you are fairly good at what you do. Your terminal is busy assembling data about a recent military incident, and as you wait, you decide to skim the file's contents.
It contains life-long information about a particular soldier. Reading through the various records, you get to know the individual intimately. He’s an orphan, raised by a kindly couple of citizens. From a young age, he wants to become part of something larger than himself, so he joins the Force as soon as he’s old enough. His exploits are noble. Again and again, he selflessly defends the weak. His dedication to his own personal strength is clearly greater than his loyalty to the System. As you read on, the commands he must follow begin to grate with all he stands for. Inevitably, the soldier’s orders stand in opposition to the correct, the good, and the moral.
He does what is right.
And he was executed five minutes ago.
The terminal completes its hunt. All the journals, and the footage, and the histories – all evidence that this courageous man ever existed has been assimilated and compressed into the tiny folder in front of you. A small, glowing message appears on the screen.

Thanks. Glad you like it. To tell you the truth, when I first found CoU, I moped around for a few days because our Orwellian nightmare-worlds contain a lot of commonalities (such as the division of society, and the imposing seat of power). I got over it. This sort of thing happens all the time. We do share a lot of the same inspirations and references, after all. And if my story has evolved parallel to something as developed and well-presented as CoU, then I must be doing something right (Nice work on that, by the way. I'd get involved but I don't RP as much as I used to). I'm striving to keep things as distinctive as possible.
I think the divided society police state dystopia thing is pretty common, and getting moreso as video games get popular, so I'm not all that surprised that CoU has a lot in common with other tales in the genre. But I'm really glad you thought it was nice work! Though even if you don't RP much anymore, it's all free-form so it's pretty easy to get into the swing of once you write up a character and get used to typing up stuff on the fly. Dunno if you've seen the RP logs on the forum, but there's some good examples of what I mean there.
But back on topic, I really do love this image. Aside from the really gripping visual storytelling going on, the armor designs are just superb. I can really see them moving in a believably light, flexible, yet protectively covering manner. Excellent work here! I also love how you use defeat/tragedy in the story here. I'm not sure if I'm wording it right, since it sounds kind of ...simple when I read what I'm saying, but the sheer coldness and brutality in both the image and accompanying description just really clicks with the kind of stuff I love when it comes to dystopia.

Being an x-writer....i know this story begins with the Information Specialist, what he decideds to do with the information. How he disrupts or changes the system O_O and the harrowing adventure to follow.
Oh yeah, i love action movies that make me cry. And imagineing it start there, seeing that lion laying dead on the ground still clutching those dead fox's- its a powerful message.
(In my head i'v started it like a movie. All the bad juju starts when he downloads the archived information and takes off. The moment he recorded it, the mainframe security picked up the unauthorized transfer of data and sent a good number of military and state police after him ^_^)
Bottom line- awesome ^w^

This is a very wonderful image. Not just the image, but the description as well. It adds so much more "depth" to the picture or perhaps one might even say "snapshot" of the "realm of existance" and that particular moment in time in it. As if maybe you are/were one of the soldiers there and now had to face the aspect of maybe what had happened. I do not know really, all I know is that this image, feels more then just a "image" and "text" but has a deeper aspect to it that perhaps words may not be able to allow me to express what it is I feel.
Anywho, this is a great image and I should check out more of your gallery when I get the time.
I hope life is treating you well or at least halfway decent as well as loved ones, friends, family and etc are all safe, healthy happpy and etc ok?
Talk to ya later.

Intense, hardcore, disturbing, beautiful... I love this piece. It's so much more than just an anthro picture, it has multi-dimensions that tell me a story I would love to read. It makes me emotional, but at the same time uplifted. For some reason, it makes me feel like how I did at the end of V for Vendetta.
