Is that on black velvet? Well, I like it anyway. But one question, is it supposed to fade to charcoal grey at the top or is the background a uniform black? I know your camera does less than ideal things to the work sometimes, but before trying to "restore" a black background, I'd prefer to know if that's how it should be.

One, it is a camera and the variation is probably from the lighting. Two, its conte paper; not velvet. (I don't think watercolor would even stick to velvet.) Three, it's dark green.

Dark Green? A challenge.

There was a definite texture that reminded me more of that sort of canvas pasted to board you buy ready made for painting on, in art supply stores. But the electric colours reminded me a little of matadors and bulls. I've never heard of conte paper, but presume it's something like the canvas I just described. I was never much for experimenting with materials.

This is the Album Cover, right? It does sort of look like that, except that was a water dragon --I think.

There is a collection of Dean's work. Published around 1983, I think. Had a lot of his album work and these modular, organic-looking houses he designed. If you ever find a copy, give it a glance. It's interesting.

I wonder if anyone else has caught on to the Dragonlance reference. I blame it on the fact that that's all I've been reading this past year.
