So, in my Bach for the Banjo book, there's one of the Minuets that's pretty fun to play on Banjo. Turns out the Guitar accompaniment is easy enough for me to play, too. So here's a simple multitrack of the first half, with my dad's old, string-buzzing Guild Acoustic. Any comments on making the guitar sound better are much appreciated!

Well, I'm an Irish/Celtic player, so we flat-pick, and play the lead/melody. Violin and mandolin are my first two instruments, and Irish tenor banjo is the same tuning, just an octave lower, so it was a natural and fun next instrument. You're inspiring me to record more stuff than the single crappy multitrack I have on my own page :)
I figured since I'm going to school in the fall for Composition, and part of the program is basic recording and engineering, I thought, Hey, why not start working on some stuff? If you wanna try to collaborate on something sometime, I bet we could get a 5-String/Tenor Duet or something.. heck, I could even try writing something! I just need to learn how to play backup at some point. Playing classical is fun and I'm learning the neck more, but if I ever join a band on Banjo, I need to learn chord and stuff. And maybe buy a Capo.
Well done--oh and the guitar sounds fine to me. Didn't really notice any buzzing. Good to hear classical on the on the five-string. :3 About the only classical tune I can sort of pick around with is Greensleeves. XP I really need to record some more stuff. I've got a few tunes I ought to get up on here.
