Sorry if that came across as pushy. But I have been studying our current health care system for Mom's to be and I am appalled at the way our Maternity system just seems to rush things and not let the body do things naturally.

not at all. :D I'm going to try to do it naturally.. I'll get upset with a nurse or a doctor that pushes medicine or a C Section on me for any needless reasons. [Eg; baby taking a while to come, but not under distress of any kind].

The Failure to progress is always a nice stand-by they try to use. Then they break out the Picotin to move things along, then the Fetal Heart monitor (Which even A.C.O.G. no longer says is a good thing to use) starts to go off, and they start pushing the rest of the McDonalization of the Maternity care system.

Lol, even as tiny as I was, I got the 'fat' comment until I was about 5.5-6 months.. My husband still jokingly calls me a fatass, but it works both ways, so it doesn't upset me at all hahaha

My hubby has been calling my stomach the Baby Ball....which makes me think of someone trying to make a baby sized hamster ball for the baby to romp in...the image in my head is made of awesome.
