First homework assignment for Illustration 1. The assignment was to create 6 images with the same shape with a coherent theme. My theme is Japanese mythology. I really hope that that is what the Kanji says on that first picture.. (myth).

-Kitsune (9 tailed fox)
-Raijin - thunder god. He has drums that create the thunder booms
-Kirin/Qilin - a creature with the body of a tiger in scales. associated with fire and the passing of an illustrious figure or ruler. also associated with serenity and prosperity
-Dragon - associated with water, rivers, etc. I didn't have a place to put his big whiskers so he just has facial hair
-Amaterasu - the sun goddess with her mirror, yata no kagami.
